The Lest We Forget Project

The following tables provide hyperlinks to online sources wherever possible.
One of the goals in conducting cenotaph research is to immerse students in layers of primary evidence supported by official histories and selected secondary sources.

Using the Lest We Forget project website at Library and Archives Canada, students will find an abbreviations list to help interpret military terminology.
As well, it is important to properly cite each source using footnotes or endnotes which can be located in the exemplar provided on the Lest We Forget project website.
For organizational purposes, teachers and students can download templates and other documents by exploring the website.

When navigating the service files students can input information into the data entry portal created to document each soldier that participated in the Great War (1914-1918) and Second World War (1939-1945).
Teachers may request an Access Code by contacting the following email address: BigIdeasGroupConsulting@gmail.com
